The "My City" project, realized in Istanbul, Çanakkale, Konya, Trabzon and Mardin, aimed to support the promotion of Turkey and different cities of Turkey in Europe, and carry out work in these cities in the fields of culture and art. Five artists from Europe visited the project cities, and in collaboration with young people and local administrations, produced a city-specific work. In parallel to this, five artists from Turkey were given the opportunity to exhibit their most recent work in various cultural institutions in Europe. Within the scope of the project, Mark Wallinger was hosted in Çanakkale, Andreas Fogarasi in Istanbul, Joanna Rajkowska in Konya, Clemens von Wedemeyer in Mardin and Minna Henriksson in Trabzon.

From Turkey, Caner Aslan was hosted in Berlin, Can Altay in Warsaw, Güneş Terkol in London, Gülsün Karamustafa in Vienna, Leyla Gediz in Helsinki and Işıl Eğrikavuk in Dortmund.

Also, within the scope of the same project, in collaboration with the PACE Children’s Centre, work focusing on art, contemporary art, public/urban art, culture and cultural heritage was realized with the participation of children and young people over the age of 11.

The My City project was realized by the collaboration of Anadolu Kültür and Platform Garanti Contemporary Art Centre and the support of the European Commission of British Council.
