Support Program for Works with Children held its closing event in Diyarbakır
Support Program for Works with Children aims to support artists, teachers/trainers, psychologists, activists, and civil society workers, who conduct psychosocial support-oriented arts and culture activities with children, in Batman, Diyarbakır, Hakkari, Mardin, Şırnak, and Van. The closing event of the second phase of the program, which started on 1 August 2018, was held in Diyarbakır on 30 November – 1 December 2019.
As part of the closing event, workshops were held for the evaluation of the overall program with the participants. During the workshops, group discussions moderated by Aysel Fidan, Ayşe Görür, and Fırat Bingöl, were held on the following subjects: Impact of Creative Activities on Psychosocial Support Process, Child Participation, and Compatibility of Psychosocial Support with Arts and Culture Activities.
47 people from the designated cities participated in the Trainer Training, while 51 projects were supported within the scope of Small Grant. A total of 1.850 children benefitted from the projects realized in Batman, Diyarbakır, Hakkari, Mardin, Şırnak, and Van.
