Connect for ImpAct
Connect for ImpAct project brings together local government units, rights-based NGOs, and cultural and arts institutions to enhance the impact in the fight against discrimination.
Supported by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, the project will be implemented by Anadolu Kültür until the end of 2024 in Diyarbakır, Eskişehir, Adana, and surrounding provinces.
During the preparatory phase of the project, city visits and meetings will be conducted with organizations to discuss the needs in the field and exchange ideas about the project activities.
Based on the local needs and barriers expressed during these meetings, a three-day Capacity Building and Idea Development Program will be implemented in Eskişehir, Diyarbakır, and Adana, with the participation of local actors operating in various sectors and themes.
Subsequently, Mentorship and Network Development activities will be conducted with the participation of the organizations involved, and the development of at least one Local Implementation in each region will be targeted. In each local implementation, which will be carried out in cooperation with civil society organizations, cultural and arts institutions, and municipal units, innovative tools aimed at combating discrimination from an intersectional perspective will be used to develop and implement joint plans.
In the final stage of the project, the Harvest Meeting, a three-day event will be held, bringing together regional implementers from the three cities for evaluation, feedback, and experience sharing. In this context, recommendations for the continuation of Intersectional and Cross-Sectoral Local Networks for Combating Discrimination will be collected, and potential application areas for the project outcomes will be evaluated.
